I attended the American Open Championship in Orlando, FL Sunday March 26, 2017 to watch Freedom Athletics take home some National Championships, but also help support the Houser Family and American Chamionships give a Humanitarian Award to Nancy McDowell, owner of Freedom, for her over the top tribute to a fallen coach and athlete, Melissa Houser, also a co-founder of Cheer4choreo.

It brings back so many memories being at a cheer and dance competitions, especially following around my old gym, with my old coaches who are all still friends of mine. I also got to bump into a lot of my old American Championship peeps. Even more so, reminded me all of the times Melissa Houser and I spent cheering together, judging together, doing choreograping together, sharing meaningful conversations together… all things that have brought us to this journey now called Cheer4Choreo.

It meant a lot to be present to see this award given to Nancy by Harry & Judy Houser. It was well deserved and memorable.

Look for footage of this day coming soon! And keep an eye out for my interview with Nancy McDowell owner of Freedom Athletics,  Inc.
